Book of Isaiah

This room in our gallery contains artwork depicting verses taken from the book of Isaiah.  Please check back from time to time, as we continue to add new artwork to this room, as well as other rooms in our galleries. You may click on the thumbnail images below to enlarge them.

"The Crown of Beauty"
-- C.V., girl, age 15
"The Spirit of the Almighty LORD is with me because the LORD has anointed me to deliver good news to humble people. He has sent me to heal those who are brokenhearted, to announce that captives will be set free and prisoners will be released. He has sent me to announce the year of the LORD'S good will and the day of our God's vengeance, to comfort all those who grieve. He has sent me to provide for all those who grieve in Zion, to give them crowns instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of tears of grief, and clothes of praise instead of a spirit of weakness. They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, the Plantings of the LORD, so that he might display his glory." (Isa 61:1-3)

"Flowers of the Field"
-- C.V., girl, age 15
"A voice called, 'Call out!' I asked, "'What should I call out?' 'Call out: All people are like grass, and all their beauty is like a flower in the field. Grass dries up, and flowers wither when the LORD'S breath blows on them. Yes, people are like grass. Grass dries up, and flowers wither, but the word of our God will last forever.'" (Isa 40:6-8)

 "Praise from the Islands"
-- C.V., girl, age 16

"Sing to the LORD a new song, Sing His praise from the end of the earth! You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it. You islands, and those who dwell on them.
(Isa 42:10)

 "Spring Roses"
-- H.R., age 14

"A voice says, "Call out." Then he answered, "What shall I call out?" All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, When the breath of the LORD blows upon it; Surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever." (Isa 40:6-8)

"Hillside Glory"
-- C.V., girl, age 17

"How lovely on the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace And brings good news of happiness, Who announces salvation, And says to Zion, "Your God reigns!" (Isa 52:7)

Do You Want to Know Him?
If you want to know Jesus personally, you can. It all begins when you repent and believe in Jesus.  Do you know what God's Word, the Bible says?

“Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.’” (Mar 1:14b-15).  He preached that we must repent and believe.

Please see my explanation of this in my post called "Do You Want to Know Jesus?"
